Finals Wellness Opportunities

By: Jeana Quinlan

With finals coming up, many Kohawks feel stressed out. Coe Wellness is hosting several ‘brain breaks’ in Phifer Commons throughout finals week with the aim of giving students some time for rest and relaxation.

On Saturday, April 23rd, Coe Wellness is sponsoring goat yoga, which will be held off-campus from 9:30 AM to noon. Transportation will be provided by Coe, but students have to sign up in advance using the link that was sent out in an email from wellness@coe.edu.

On Tuesday, April 26th, Prairie Patch Farms will bring their llamas to Coe’s campus from 2-2:45 PM outside of the caf.

Wednesday, April 27th is a day filled with wellness activities, with chair massages from 10-1 PM, Pet Pals from 10-noon, and rock painting from noon-2 PM.

Finally, more chair massages will be held on Thursday, April 28th from 1-5 PM. Students also have to sign up for a time slot in advance using the link provided in the email from Coe College Wellness.

Additionally, Student Nursing Association is hosting another blood drive in partnership with ImpactLife on the 28th. People can sign up for a time slot on the ImpactLife website by looking up the Coe College mobile blood drive or scanning the QR code that was sent out in GMUs last week.

People that donate during this blood drive will receive a gift card of their choice and a tree planted in their name in honor of Earth Day.
