Cirque Zuma Zuma Stuns Kohawks

The Marquis Series brought yet another amazing show to Coe’s campus last Monday, March 11. Held in the Kohawk Arena, Cirque Zuma Zuma did not disappoint those that attended the exhilarating show.

Filled with interactive participation, music, acrobats, African style dancing, and much, much more, both 45 minute halves kept people on their toes wanting more. Cirque Zuma Zuma has performed in many places and they were fortunate enough to have to opportunity to make it to the semi-finals on America’s Got Talent in 2011, before being eliminated.

According to their website, www.zumazuma.com, there are 120 unique and talented individuals from 16 various African nations involved in Cirque Zuma Zuma which is put on by African Acrobats International, Inc.

“I thought it was really good,” Diate Jackson (‘22) said, “Cirque Zuma Zuma was worth going to watch. They had so much energy and passion for what they wanted to showcase to the audience.” Jackson wasn’t the only student that thought Cirque Zuma Zuma was worth going to, Bridget Paur (‘22) also agreed. “Cirque Zuma Zuma was an unexpected joy to watch! They had a vibrant energy and enthusiasm that was contagious,” Paur said.

For those that missed the performance by Cirque Zuma Zuma, check them out online. “I would 10/10 recommend [Cirque Zuma Zuma],” Paur stated.
